2022 Honda CR-V - Driver assist error

Driver assist error message occured on the dashboard as my cruise cintrol stopped working. After 200 miles on the highway driving to Florida it worked. This happened the previous month. I calleHonda service and the mgr said to come in when the error message appears agin. Isnt there another way to check the computer system as my car has only 2k miles

Take a picture of it if it happens again, it might go out again before you can get it to the dealer… Just prof that it did it… See if a good scan tool can read any history codes, may not show up just looking at just engine codes…

How long was the light on for (miles/time)? did it go off while on the trip to Florida after driving for 200 miles straight? How long has it been working OK for now??

If it comes back on document under what conditions it came on, sometimes it’s the little details that help the most…

There is a radar sensing block in the front of your vehicle. if that gets covered with something like snow or bugs, which we have so many down south. it will affect your adaptive cruise control and might not make it work until it is cleaned off.

And to answer your question. a scanner should show stored codes or pending codes. your local autoparts store can scan your vehicle for free.

None of the chassis, body or safety system computers will be accessible with a dime-store code reader. Forward recognition camera, radar module and blind spot modules require a factory level diagnostic scan tool.

If you have a little time on your trip you could go to a local Honda dealer and have them check it out with their scan tool. Any dealer can do warranty work.
