2021 chevy silverado 1500 slips first shift from my automatic transmission when you first pull out in the morning i took it 2 times to chevy they said thats no problem with that
One of your shift solenoid’s might be defective.
I expect indeed there’s something wrong, but one idea, just keep monitoring the situation. Might turn up some clues as to what exactly is causing it to happen. Common possibilities:
- Transmission clutches slipping (might try replacing transmission fluid w/fresh stuff)
- Solenoid problem (as above)
- Sensor problem
If it really IS slipping, it won’t do it very long and you’ve registered the warranty complaint with GM. If it fails, you should be covered
Elevate your complaint up to GM corporate, how to instructions are in your owners manual.
Get hard copy (written on paper) statements from your dealership service department each time you take it in. Though there should be a digital record, hard copies in your possession will help protect your rights under your power train warranty.
