2020 Toyota Highlander - Microphone issue

I had the opposite problem at the dealership. I explained the microphone didn’t work for Bluetooth nor Hands-free mode.

I have had to trouble-shoot many electronics related issues on cars, helicopters and airplanes.

You start at the problem description, (microphone $190). The mechanic wanted to replace the DCM, without even seriously considering or even looking into the microphone.
