My engine is losing alot of oil.
I’m guess this is a question/statement from carcomplaints…
1st off, is it leaking or using/burning oil??
How many miles are on the vehicle??
Are you the 1st or 2nd/3rd etc owner??
There is only one oil consumption complaint for this vehicle/year on car complaints…

If your Elentra uses the 2.0L Turbo GDI engine, that’s a Theta II engine, suggest to have a look-see at this Wikipedia article in addition to the good link above. If you aren’t sure which engine you have, it is probably printed on a sticker on the underside of the hood. It might say something like “G4KH”, Hyundai’s engine ID nomenclature. .
“Hyundai and Kia vehicles equipped with Theta II engines (GDI) were recalled, due to the fact that those engines were, and continue to be, the subject of an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).”
