Unless you managed to void it, or have exceeded the mileage, your bumper to bumper warranty will cover repair/replacement.

If the OP didn’t get a recall notice in the mail–more than 2 months after Ford began mailing them–then something went awry, and he/she should phone Ford at the corporate level for more information.
Or–probably even less time-consuming would be a phone call to any Ford dealer’s service department. Dictate your VIN to them and ask if there are any outstanding recalls on your vehicle. If they say “yes”, then simply make an appointment for free repairs.
