The battery is fully covered by the vehicles basic limited warranty; 3 years/36,000 miles.
Recharging a good battery may not be covered.
If the assumption (right or wrong) is that the in service date of the car was back in 2019 this means since it only has 17k miles on it in 2.5 years and that the battery has done a lot of sitting idle.
Sitting idle a lot can lead to battery sulfation and failure.
