Info screen developed an inaccessible bubble-like formation behind the screen. The system is uncontrollable and transitions from one program to another on its own.

Looks like there is a known issue and you are not alone, I would call SOA ( Subaru of America)
Customer service: (800) 782-2783 about it…

Dave is right. I have benefitted twice from doing what he suggests (not infotainment-related, other issues).
