i get a humming sound at around 40 mph which subsides after 45 but then returns louder again at 60 mph. i think it is the torque converter. Any thoughts. Thanks.
Is the vehicle still under warranty? If so, take it to the dealer.
It’s not likely the converter. You might inspect the tread on the tires for abnormal wear.
One owner on an Atlas forum had a similar problem that appeared to be from the wiper relay. Dunno if that’s your issue or not. Since it should be under warranty, take it to a dealer. If you hear, “They all do that,” ask to drive another one. I’ll bet “they” don’t.
