No cool air coming when A/C turned on. Coolant level good, controls all functioning - just get hot air!
About all you can do yourself is to make sure engine compartment fans are working, nothing is clogging the free flow of air through the A/C condenser (near radiator), and if thereās an hvac air filter in the passenger compartment, make sure that is in good condition. Beyond that a well recommended AC specialist shop will check if the A/C compressor is turning on, the various refrigerant pressures are correct, and that the hvac air-pathway doors are working. If you were hearing any unexplained clicking noises from under the dash before this symptom, pretty good chance one of the door actuators has failed.
This could be a possible cause. if it is it will be a free repair.
Interesting that a batch of condensers has internal corrosion. OP needs to have system inspected to see if there is a leak of r134a. And if so, where is leak coming from.
Maybe the same company made the GM truck condensers also, I know I replaced a lot of them around 2014-2018 time frameā¦ lol
" In a November 2017 mailing to owners GM said the condensers may have a condition where thermal cycling on the combination transmission fluid/oil and AC condenser cooler creates a crack that may allow refrigerant to escape . This condition consequently may deactivate the AC"
But you are better off taken it to a qualified AC tech and let them check it outā¦ it could be as simple as a blend door stuck (for whatever reason) to something majorā¦
