Outside mirrors do not extend when the door is unlocked or the or the mirror button in the drivers for is pressed.
I’m not a mechanic but it could be a wiring problem. If you can find a dealer, your Outlander should still have a 5yr./60k bumper-to-bumper warranty that would cover whatever it is.
