2018 Chevrolet Volt - Headlight question

Late model pickups and light ulility vehicles with quad headlamps seem, in majority, to drive at all times and all conditions with all four lamps on. Is this the norm for low beam now, or the norm for highbeams in your face buddy?

Can’t speak to the number of late model truck headlight bulbs that are lit issue, but complaints about excessive brightness and glare from newer vehicles, both ahead and from behind, that is a pretty common topic here of late. I expect there’s three parts to this problem, the bulbs are just brighter, there’s more of them, and a larger % of vehicles on the road are trucks and SUV’s which stand taller than sedans.

The DLR’s use the regular headlights, usually the high beam bulbs but at a reduced voltage so they aren’t as bright and last longer.
