Car hesitate when making a left turn. Stalls then jerks forward. The engine light comes on and then it make a noise like it is trying to change gears. This is the second time it has happened. When it was checked they said nothing was wrong.
That may prove difficult to diagnose. You may need to leave your car with the shop and one of the techs use it for their commute, hoping the symptom will appear when the tech can see it happen. Once the tech sees it happen they’ll likely be able to scan the car’s computer for any stored diagnostic codes & from that info narrow down the cause.
Two ideas for a possibility:
- Bad/loose engine/trans mounts are allowing the engine/trans to shift position during the turn and pinch a wire bundle or pull on an electrical connector or mechanical linkage.
- Something is amiss with the wheels, steering, or suspension system linkage, and the computer is sensing something is wrong.
