2017 Subaru Outback - Any special suggestions?

Bought a 2017 Subaru Outback Premium 44K runs great. Never had a Subaru before, anything special I need to know about maintaining jewel?

Yes, read your owners manual, especially the maintenance section. Be conservative with estimates. If it says 5000 miles for a oil change with severe service and 7500 with normal use, use 5000. Even if it doesn’t call for a transmission fluid change, do it anyway. At least every 60K miles.

Most Subaru owners like to check their oil a bit more frequently than with other brands. Have fun. Great vehicle.

I don’t know about your model specifically, but in general Subaru requires that the tires be very close in circumference to avoid damage to the drivetrain, so make sure to rotate your tires properly and replace all four tires at the same time.

The OP should pay special attention to the specified mileage interval for tire rotation that is listed in Subaru’s Maintenance Booklet, and adhere to equal intervals for every tire rotation. Otherwise, he is risking expensive damage to the vehicle’s Center Viscous Coupler.
