The presets for my 2016 kia sorento’s sunroof won’t work. I have to hold the button to get the shade to open and that’s after the vent opens. To open the sunroof itself I have to hold the button back and it won’t close the right way when I hold the button to close it.
Apparently Sorento sunroofs not closing is a fairly common problem. I don’t know if that’s similar to your issue or not. There should be a procedure in your Owner’s Manual for resetting the sunroof. If that doesn’t work I’d visit a Kia dealer.
