The parking brake on my 2016 Escalade will not release. Is there a way of fixing it without costing me a fortune. In addition I have found the problem is with many Escalades. Is the dealer responsible for fixing it?

I my guessing you have an electronic parking brake. There is no recall for it yet, but others have had this problem with other brake problems. I believe there is a software update for this problem, but that is a trip to the dealer. also, there could be a problem with the parking brake module. In an emergency where you are stuck somewhere you could try disconnected the battery for 5 minutes. it might reset it. but you would lose your settings, saved radio stations, ect.
