I just bought a '15 Sentra SV and the steering feels loose. The dealer said it because my tires are narrow, but they are the Manufacture recommended tires. What tire size can I use to get more tire on the road so I dont feel like a small boat in the ocean
First of all that is nonsense . Did this vehicle have the standard Sold as is disclaimer ? Any Tire shop can tell you what tires will fit but I think you need to see a front end shop now . Or the best thing is to return the vehicle if you can and have the next one checked by a mechanic before you buy it.
What exactly do you mean by “loose”? The steering wheel turns easily? You can turn the steering wheel and it has no effect? (I borrowed a coworker’s Buick years ago and you could turn the wheel almost 90° in either direction without making a difference.) Did you notice this during the test drive or is it something new? If it was happening during the test drive, why did you buy the car anyway?
