My towncar rolled backwards while in park and ran over me! How could that happen? It definitely was in park.
1: The shift lever is in park but the transmission isn’t
2 : The park pawl broke.
3 : Broken u-joint, differential, or axle shaft

Or shift cable/linkage broke/out of adjustment.
