Sixty.grand is an attractive price. But it will likely get bid up since they will be rationed among the dealerships.
You’re right, I bet $10-15k added, or more for the first ones.
I’m sure they’ve done their research on the right price, which, in cars like this has little to do with costs. 60k is too much for people just wanting a little extra vim. Not for me. Not my style and not very practical in San Francisco.
This would have to be one of the last cars that I would consider buying, but…if it floats somebody’s boat and if they can pay the inflated price, then…more power to them (both literally and figuratively).
I don’t think it has been a major sales success, unlike the retro-Mustangs and Camaros , despite having styling more faithful to the original. It’s just too big and heavy. The current Charger is just as attractive as the Challenger and a good deal more practical. And can be configured to be plenty quick (and thirsty.)
