2015 Chevrolet Malibu - Transmission shows owner the light

Had to replace my 2015 malibu transmission after 29500 miles took GM 3 weeks to figure out what was wrong. No more GM products for me . $6500. to replace Trans so long GM.

Sorry to hear of your problem. While very unusual, transmissions do fail with low miles and/or years. Have you ever changed the transmission fluid?

$6500 sounds like a dealer price to me. Have you checked a local, independent transmission shop for a second quote?

with such low miles, I hope you went up the GM chain for some assistance on this repair.

Thanks for joining just have a good rant. You may show yourself out now.

So you didn’t have Carshield! You need to watch more TV.

carcomplaints.com is a great place for this kind of stuff.

No, it didn’t take GM that long to figure out the problem with your car, it just took the guy you took it to that long to figure out what was wrong with your car. Even if you took it to a dealer it was still the guy working on it that took that long, not GM.

The 1992-1996 Camry had some early transmission failures too. Besides that, it turned out to be one of the longest lasting cars ever made.
