I have a Toyota highlander 2014 model, when I am in motion and I move the gear lever from driver to S, which is manual drive, the whole dashboard lighting goes off. If however the vehicle is static and I put it from drive to manual drive, the engine shuts off.
What coukd be the problem and a possible solution
Do you have any aftermarket electronics on the SUV?
Something weird with the wiring i’d suspect. I’d trust the shop we use to find the source of the problem since they’ve had to fix weird issues like this on a previous car more than once.
