My Forester has twice at 15,000 miles and 90,000 miles quit running while on the express way. Both times the car lost power while the tachometer went up to 6000 rpm like it was knocked out of gear but it wasn’t. It lost power and coasted to a stop. Then after being off an hour it started normally. Any thoughts?
What did the dealer say the reason was when you took it in at 15K?

I did not take it in then as is started right back up and now the dealer told me that as it started back up that putting it on the computer would not show anything.
