How come when I turn the car on I get oil and filter message, tire maintenance message, other maintenance messsage?
Because it is time for those items to be serviced .
Thank you but I think it’s a bit odd that all of them are coming up.
Maybe it’s in the manual. This happened right after I started using my
back-up key fob.
Odd it only does it with one fob and not the other. A Nissan service department MIGHT have an answer. To me both fobs should produce the same results.
All these messages are supposed to come on BRIEFLY to show that their circuits are working properly. If they stay on then there is a problem.
As mentioned checking out the key fobs would be your first step./
It’s also possible that you’re coming up on one of the “major” services, your car really does need these things. Are you close to the 30k, 60k, 75k, or 100k mile marks?
Yes. Close to 100K. The key fob I should check as I just put a new battery in recently and it still has trouble detecting the key. Not sure if that has any connection to 100K check?
The easiest answer to your question would likely be found in your filing cabinet, or wherever you might keep your car maintenance records.
When was the oil last changed?
When were the tires last rotated?
Is the odometer approaching any of the “major maintenance” (90k, 120k…) milestones?
I very much doubt the owners manual would explain why different fobs would get different messages. Maintenance and warnings are stored in the onboard system, not in the fob.
