2014 Mazda 3 Bumper Dent

From warp speed to one quarter impulse!

When it comes to vaccine development and deployment, I have 0 qualms with the work of their foundation. For heaven’s sake, they essentially eradicated Polio in 3rd world areas (where you don’t have these idiotic anti-vaxers like we have in the US allowing these eradicated diseases an opportunity to return)

No 3rd arm still  and we’ll have no idea about the pregnancy effects once my wife receives the vaccine since I had a vasectomy several years ago.

I wish our Sheriffs gave a crap about enforcing the governor’s mandates, they’ve turned it completely political.

Well we eradicated polio and a number of other diseases in the US and other 3rd world countries well before there was a Gates Foundation. You must realize though in those countries there is a reluctance to accept modern medicine.

So you’re saying some poor guy in a 3rd world country is reluctant to accept modern medicine . . . ?!

I wish you were joking

But I know you’re not

And that’s sad

I gather that I am in group 1-c. While there is no definite timeline, I am guessing (or, at least… hoping) that I can get in line for my first shot in February.

Hopefully you can get your shots sooner than May or June.
Just think… the more wingnuts who believe that “Bill Gates is trying to inject me with microchips in order to track my location*****”, the more left-over doses there will be, so with any luck those who are eager to be vaccinated will be able to get their shots sooner as a result of “unclaimed” doses in the earlier groups.

*****The ultimate irony is that–more than likely–most of those “microchip conspiracy” folks are carrying a cellphone–which automatically tracks their location every minute that it is turned on.

There is far less reluctance to accept modern medicine in 3rd world countries than there is in the United States

"VDCdriver,

Do you mean all cell phones or just the smart phones?

If/when I’m offered a vaccine, my response will be “Let’s get it over with right now”

No questions asked

I don’t have those types of allergies that might result in an adverse reaction

I don’t have underlying health conditions

I am by no means an expert on this topic, but I believe that it only applies to Smartphones.

My best friend is a critical care nurse, and he has been assigned to an All-COVID unit for several months. He has a history of anaphylactic reactions to shellfish and some other foods, but after seeing scores of COVID-related deaths, he is going to get his first dose of the Moderna vaccine next week.

He is going to bring an EpiPen–just in case he has a reaction to the shot. And, the SOP now includes observation of the “injectees” for 20-30 minutes after receiving the vaccine, just to be on the safe side.

He’s likely going to be ok. I haven’t heard of them using any iodine related compounds in either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. I’m glad he’s getting his vaccine soon!

I just have to wonder…
How did we transition from discussing the repair of the OP’s bumper to a discussion of COVID & vaccines?

@VDCdriver I was wondering the same. Glad you’re ok, @NYBo, and you’ve still only got two arms, @pyrolord314.

I’m not exactly sure of your meaning and not to continue this, but if you remember during the Ebola crisis, some tribes actually killed volunteers from Doctors Without Boarders because they didn’t trust them. And there were very very vile comments on social media from that part of the country. Just sayin’ it’s not all love and hugs, but good luck. Take a look at the latest CDC death classifications though and then pretty soon, what do you know it’s all gone. 'Nuff said wishing everyone continued good health.

I think we can all agree

Nope!
Those deaths were the result of politically-motivated terrorist acts, not the result of tribal mistrust of modern medicine.
