I bought a used 2013 vw jetta sportwagon. I had a transmission failure at 80,000 miles . It had only been serviced at the local dealer, with a fluid change at 30,000. At 80,000 miles the transmission started to buck going into reverse and drive when cold. It came on suddenly and within two days. It was scary to drive and just made it to the dealer. The fluid was drained and it was full of metallic particle. I think something failed, or broke suddenly. I have searched and have not found anything like this. Do you have any information on this problem? Thanks Nick
It makes no difference if anyone else has had this problem. You have this problem and and it needs to be fixed for you to continue to drive this car. I think you will need a new transmission.
