I have a 2013 Toyota Prius Plugin Hybrid. When I apply brakes from approx 30mph I hear a repeating squeak from front of car relative to the speed of the car and stops when I am stopped. It is not the pad tangs when the pads are worn. Both Firestone and dealer cannot tell me what this squeak noise is. Both say my brakes are fine. Any ideas?
Remove, clean, and then refit with a tiny smear of Coppergrease behind them.
If that fails, you can file a chamfer on the leading edges of the pads.
R&R the pads, right? I knew what you meant.
