We have a knocking or tap tap noise that appears when the car is at 55 mph and stops when releasing the gas peddle. Have replaced breaks, tires, rear bearings and front rotors. Nosie still there. Talked to Subaru of America and they told me to go to a dealer which is where the work has been done and they cannot solve the problem. Do not want to take it back to them.
Will the tapping sound also happen if you accelerate briskly from a stop?
