'08 Subaru Outback (57,000). About 3,000 ago while on road trip I heard soft clicking noise at about 20 mph. came from engine/front wheel area. No change in performance, no change at turns, no smells. Went away after 2 days. Started again 3 days ago. Only above about 15 mph, then it either goes away or road noise covers. Have only noticed after driving a bit & heard also after coming off freeway. First time noise very soft, rolled down window to make sure I was hearing something…Now seems just a bit louder, no problem hearing it in cabin( driver & passenger), but still pretty quiet. Regular oil changes, 50k service 2 weeks ago, new tires 3k ago. Road trip included many 600-900 mile days. Any suggestions before I take it in ?

Could it be something stuck in your tire tread? Look and feel all the way around your tires for a rock or foreign object.
