I just recently had the whole engine replaced in my 04 Subaru Outback and now when the engine is started there is a constant clicking noise that accelerates when I do. What could be the cause of this and is there a solution?
Most likely, you are hearing tappet noise, but this needs to be checked by a qualified mechanic.
Didn’t this engine come with some sort of warranty?
Why don’t you go back to the folks who installed this engine?
