2013 Honda Accord shutdown problem

Push button start/stop ignition. Engine starts fine. Engine shuts down fine. Auxiliary power circuit normal. During shut down there is an audible beeping, and “Power On” is displayed. Power will not terminate. Replaced key fob battery with no improvement. Must disconnect battery to kill power. What is going on?

Is it possible you have a second key somewhere in the car or stored close by? The owners manual says the start/stop button won’t work if it thinks the key has left the car. It also has a warning that keeping the key in the glovebox or console can cause system issues.

No extra key in the car. Intermittent problem - working fine last two shut downs.
