sometimes it will start straight away i then go to do a bit of shopping and it will not start so i leave it for a short time like ten minutes and it starts, I have this problem daily

Sorry but I got to say it, you might need to stop shopping everyday and take your vehicle to an auto repair shop to have it diagnosed and repaired… 
As far as the no start, well a couple questions 1st, any lights on the dash, like a CEL light on, and or what codes are showing using a scanner?? You can go to an auto parts to have them checked… Post the codes here, hint: if no print out, take a pic of the codes and post them here…
