I am adding to the "A/C often stops blowing. My expedition started doing the same thing, but I did not take it to a shop. I changed out the Terminal Blower Motor Resistor that I purchased at a parts store. The same thing happened with the new one, but I had not discarded the old one. I cleaned the old one with a small wire brush, put it back in and returned the new one as inoperable. The A/C still cuts out occasionally, but I click the speed switch back to the lowest level and the blower comes back on shortly. It’s an inconvenience, but it works. Maybe someone will figure out the permanent fix.
