liftgate leaking water when it rains
Bad seal, misaligned liftgate or another lead from somewhere else in the car. Water leaks are insideous and they can travel.
An auto repair or body shop should be able to handle this repair.
Open the hatch and take a look at the top. Leaves and crud tend to accumulate along the top between the body and the hatch and break the tailgate seal. I have to clean this area every year or two on my wife’s van.

OK, got my Durango back today, here is what they found. There is a body seal above the rear cargo area that was apparently starting to fail and needed to be re-sealed.
