In February 2017 I purchased a 2013 Cadillac XTS with 26,000 miles on it. It has been a great car. But since October 2018 the glove box door will be open in the morning at least once a week. You close the door and you will have no more problem until the next time. It has never happened during the day except 4 – 5 times as I have opened the driver’s side door, I have heard the actuators engage and the glove box door opens. The dealership has realigned the door and just recently replaced the whole box assembly. Unfortunately, the problem is not fixed. Any ideas as to what the cause may be?
Go back to the dealer and have them fix it for good.

You paid them to fix it, and they owe you free service on this issue until they get it right.
