Take it to an AC specialty shop or to a local independent mechanic that does AC work. There is NO need to take a car this old to a dealer for repairs.
I wish it were easier to find one near NE Minneapolis, but thanks for the idea.
Phillip , I just put ( vehicle air conditioner repair Minneapolis ) in Google and received all kinds of hits and the Yelp site had a lot of places. Your daughter is there and she should know someone who has used a local shop or she can search the web herself.
