I have a 2012 GMC Acadia, when the ignition is off the radio sounds fine, when you crank it, it’s full of static, help, what’s wrong?
Crank is understood to be the engine being turned by the starter so the engine will run. Do you mean you have static when the engine is running while you are driving ?
When you start the car, there is static, if your just sitting with the key turned on, not running, it’s clear! Thanks for any help!
It’s likely there’s interference from something in the ignition or charging system. Old spark plugs/ignition wires can cause static. An iffy alternator can do it too.
