My 2012 Ford Escape 6 cylinder turns over for an extended period of time before finally running.
If I turn the ignition on till I can hear the fuel pump working one or two times before turning the ignition fully on, it usually starts right up. I was going to replace the fuel filter but it seems to be built in, as I can’t find it on the fuel line. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks Charlie
That points to a problem with the anti drain-back valve on the fuel pump assembly.
If you want quicker starts, replace the fuel pump.

It could also be a leaking injector.
