The axel keeps popping out of the transmission on the driver side front. Do I need to rebuild the transmission to fix this
Is that the diagnosis from a mechanic? What sort of relationship do you have with the mechanic, and is the diagnosis from a chain shop? Have you gotten a second opinion?
I assume you don’t know the mechanic that offered this suggestion. Also, is this all wheel drive or front wheel drive? If AWD, is the problem with front or rear axle?
There’s a clip that locks the axle into the transmission.
If it’s missing, the axle can pulled out of the transmission when going over bumps.
