2012 Ford Edge soft brake pedal
Has the pedal always been soft? If this is a recent development, does pumping the pedal help?Check the brake fluid. If it appears okay, you have air in the lines or some other problem. Drive carefully to the nearest shop and have it checked out.

Ten years old, you should have had the brake fluid changed twice by now. Bet you still have the original brake fluid.
As Dave says, take it to a shop.

One of the only things I don’t like about my Forester is its soft (since new) brake pedal feel.
Ford Edges of this period have had brake booster issues.
