Get a scanner and pull the codes.Do not drive it until you find out what is going on.
If you mean that the “Check engine light” is flashing, this means that operating the engine can cause major damage.
If you have multiple fault codes. Why not list them for us to have some hint !!!

Clarify “hard starting”. Do you hear that rr rr rrr sound, but it doesn’t catch and run? Or what?
