Unfortunately, things do break in cars that are 9 years old

And… you have two obvious options.

  1. Repair
  2. Do not repair

And check your brake lights, especially the middle/third one. On 2 of my GM cars, a burned out third brake light disabled the cruise.

Any burned out brake light disables the cruise.
