I have a 2011 chev silverado with only 40,000 KM on it(low Km because of poor fuel milage)but one of my problems is with the paint. It seems that small stone contact with the bumper or front end will cause a rust spot to appear.
That is pretty much what happens when EVERY car with steel panels gets a stone chip. Your truck just has a larger area to collect them. Buy touchup paint and be diligent about touching up the stone chips before they rust.
