I began having the tire pressure light come on 3 months ago. I took it to the Chevrolet dealer who said it was a valve stem problem Those were replaced and light still stays on. Tire pressures have been set to 3 lbs over suggested factory tire pressure. I leave in the morning and light flickers and then comes on steady. Please advise me what to do to solve this problem
Take it to a tire store and have them check the signal from all the tires. Since the truck is 8 years old, the batteries in the wheel sensors are likely running low and setting the warning.
It may be time to replace the set of tire pressure sensors… or place tape over the light and check your tire pressures yourself.
