the ABS light and Stabilitrak system came on loud sound then went off
Because you got onto some slippery stuff, the noise happened because the ABS and Stabilitrak turned on. The light went on to TELL you that both systems just saved you from a crash. The light went off after the event passed.
I took your advise. On the way home every panel on my dash came up with something wrong. The car shut down I had it towed to the
dealer, he said my battery was bad and the alternator was bad. So I had to pay for both, which was very expensive.
On modern vehicles, when the alternator goes bad, it will cause all manner of strange situations with the vehicle’s electronic devices as a result of a “ripple” effect with the electrical supply.
