i change 2 coil on no 5 they were melted it giving me p0355 code it giving a surcharge on that coil it melt in no time all bulge and stink very much could it be the pcm sending to much charge if i change it with a pcm from the same year will it work
Suggest to replace the spark plug. If you don’t want to do that, at least make sure the spark plug is in in good condition & gapped properly. If the gap gets too wide the computer may compensate by increasing the voltage pulse to overcome the wider gap, and that could overheat the coil.
