2009 toyota matrix blower motor issue

I have a blower problem on my 09 Martix. For awhile, when the blower was on high, it would seem to shift iin intensity from time to time, usually when I hit a bump. Hoping for the cheapest solution, I changed the capacitor, but this didnt help and now the blower doesnt work. I do get some air when the car is moving. My question is, is this a blower motor issue or the switch on the dash. The car has just over 100K on it.

It could be a loose connection or frayed wire.
You must mean you changed the resistor.

It could be the blower motor.

Turn the ignition switch on. Set the blower speed to high. Reach under the passenger side of the dash, and with the handle of a screwdriver rap on the blower motor.

If the blower starts working replace the blower motor.
