2009 Pontiac G6 - Won't start

My car won’t start after even a short trip. It won’t jump start. My only option is to set for at least an hour till it cools. My uncle found some where that it is a design fault. The manifold is too close to the starter and overheats the starter. I’ve replaced the starter. It didn’t help. Any ideas?

I’m guessing you mean exhaust manifold.

I’m also guessing you’re missing a heat shield for the starter.
Looks like it’s part of the exhaust manifold gasket.
