My 2009 Mazda CX-7 shut off when I turned in to park. Now it’s turning over but won’t start. Everything is coming on but it won’t start. What could this be?
Gas tank empty?
If it shut off due to any kind of malfunction it will post a code and the check engine light will be illuminated. If it stalled due to anything outside of the scope of the computer to monitor as a problem…then you could indeed be out of fuel…or something similar that is not monitored. Is the Check Engine light on ? If so…we would need the codes posted to have any idea.
Not all malfunctions will create a code. Fuel pump shut off, e.g. or loss of power to the ignition system.

Could even be a failed timing chain.

Agreed…there are actually quite a few conditions that can occur outside of the computers knowledge / sensor ability.
