Very occasionally the car goes into limp mode when driving in traffic and having to slow suddenly. I can reset it but don;t know why it is happening.
When your car goes into limp mode the computer will usually store a diagnostic code in its memory. That code will provide a clue to what’s wrong. Ask your shop for a read out of the diagnostic codes. They may ask you to come back immediately after this occurs. You are welcome to post the codes here if you like more ideas. My guess, some sort of transmission-related problem.

If you want to know why it is happening then Stop “resetting” it and read the codes… lol
About any auto parts store will read the codes for you for free… Just understand, reading codes IS NOT a diagnostic, codes only give you a direction to go in most of the time…
