2009 Hyundai Santa Fe - Where to begin

What may have caused engine in my 2009 Sante Fe to cut out when driving? When I turned key to restart the engine all I got was a click. Seems to be plenty of power in battery but engine will not even try to start.

How do you know this? Because the dash lights are on? Doesn’t take much battery for that, takes MUCH more to start the car. Were there any red or yellow lights on the dash before the car quit? Which ones?

Clicking with no engine crank when trying to start is a common symptom of a discharged battery. Cutting out while driving and THEN clicking usually signals a bad alternator and a drained battery because of that alternator. Have it towed to a good independent shop for diagnosis and repair.
