I test drove a 2WD Tacoma and found it less desireable than my 2008 4WD. The big issue is that I am used to letting the truck “cruise, foot off gas pedal” when I know I have to stop soon or on an incline. When I took my foot off the gas pedal on the test drive, the truck did not want to cruise and wanted to stop period. Is this normal for new trucks? Also the tach ran a lot higher than in my 2000 in similar circumstances. This says to me lower mpg. Am I right?
